The Safe Use of Aluminium Phosphide for Vertebrate Pest Control Qualification Level 2
Course Objectives
Our Safe Use of Aluminium Phosphide for Vertebrate Pest Control course has been developed in conjunction with the industry and RAMPS (UK) to ensure users of Aluminium Phosphide are adequately trained to ensure their own safety and that of the general public and non-target animals. The training will provide a full working knowledge of commercial products and application equipment to be able to plan, implement and monitor a control programme appropriate to the situation using efficient and safe methods with regard to the environment. On completion of the training you will be able to recognise the symptoms of phosphine poisoning, be able to apply technical and operational controls to avoid exposure, be able to identify target animals and undertake a survey to determine their presence, interpret product labels, know how to apply a treatment safely and effectively and retain appropriate records.
Learners undertaking this Qualification will be able to prove their competence in using Aluminium Phosphide for Vertebrate pest control and; evidence their ability to meet licence to practice and/or other legal requirements made by the relevant sector, professional or industry.
Who is the course for?
The training is aimed at anyone who wishes to control vertebrates using aluminium phosphide in a commercial environment and is suitable for pest control operatives, farmers, gamekeepers and green keepers. This will be attractive to the agricultural, horticultural, conservation, sports management and allied industries.
The Qualification is suitable for learners from 16+ who wish to develop knowledge, understanding and skills and require proof of competence within their field of expertise across a range of learning routes/options.
