Spring this year has made me do a radical sort out of my clothes – it feels like it has been raining for a year and I am fed up with it – decided to prune the contents of the wardrobe and refresh the contents of the chest of drawers. Not unlike the work that is being done outside at this time of the year. Last chance to prune the vegetation before our beautiful spring takes a final hold, and a good time to refresh your machinery operation skills with courses.
I am no more a slave to fashion than my labrador or border terrier, but some new clothes are called for. However, believe it or not, I notice that there are fashionable training courses and certificates as well. There are two reasons for this – seasonal changes and legislation. So, back to the pruning activity, are your chainsaw, brushcutter, woodchipper and powered pole pruner skills up to date? Do you need to learn about the safe operation of a new bit of machinery or maybe refresh an existing Certificate. If you have your eye on fashion, then it is the new legislation for Rodenticide purchase and use that is driving interest in these courses, and with the disappearance of Grandfather Rights last November, there is still plenty of interest in the Pesticide Application courses and City & Guilds NPTC Certification.
Enjoy your pruning and refreshing.
