Who is this course for?

Those with a specific responsibility at work to provide First Aid when dealing with an emergency situation
Those wishing to comply with both Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 which details that all organisations must ensure by law that they have a sufficient number of employees that possess a first aid qualification in order to fulfil their first aid requirements at all times
Those requiring certification of their skills to demonstrate they have fulfilled HSE requirements
Those with reasonable communication skills

What does this course cover?

Acting safely and effectively in an emergency situation
Cardio pulmonary resuscitation (CPR)
Treatment of an unconscious casualty
Wounds and bleeding
Shock
Choking
Minor injuries
Use of first aid equipment
Record keeping

How long is the course?

One day course

What qualification does it give?

Emergency First Aid at Work Certificate +F which is valid for 3 years

There is the option to upgrade to the First Aid at Work Certificate if required

Instructions

9am to 5pm

Trainees to bring:

Small rug/blanket/mat for recovery position practice
Reading glasses if normally use
Packed lunch and wear comfortable clothing
