Higher Arboricultural Learning – 1 day Introduction
This one day course is designed as a preparation day for the 3 day Professional Tree Inspection course and for those who wish to progress further in the subject. The course will enable the candidate to determine if they have suitable knowledge to progress to the 3 day PTI course or require further study. The course will include theoretical sessions with a visual tree assessment (VTA) walk. Presented by Derek Brinsley M.Arbor A.

Legal framework
Body language of trees
Biomechanical hazard assessment of trees (VTA)
Physiological processes and how a tree system functions
Principal fungal decay organisms and modes of action
Tree inspection equipment
Decay detection equipment
Recording of data
Making management recommendations
